Subject: Allergens
Q: Are your products processed on a line that contains any allergens such as dairy, eggs, wheat, barley, peanuts, tree nuts, mustard, peas, soy or garlic?
A: Prima Familia® Meatballs contain soy, wheat, dried whole egg and dairy (Romano cheese). No nuts are processed anywhere in our plant.
Subject: Casein
Q: Are there any casein ingredients in your products?
A: No. We do not use casein as an ingredient in any of our products.
Subject: Enzymes
Q: Are there enzymes in any of your products, and are they vegetable base or animal base?
A: Prima Familia® meatballs contain Romano cheese, which is manufactured with the aid of animal-based enzymes. All other Philly-Gourmet products contain only naturally-occurring meat enzymes.
Subject: Wheat & Gluten
Q: I am allergic to gluten. Are there any wheat-based ingredients used in your products?
A: Only Prima Familia® meatballs, which contain breadcrumbs. Wheat is an ingredient of breadcrumbs.
Subject: MSG
Q: Do any of your products contain MSG?
A: No. We do not find it necessary
to add flavor enhancers, such as MSG, to any of our products.
Subject: Starch
Q: I have Celiac Disease. I cannot eat wheat, oats or barley. Do any of your products contain modified food starch? If so, do you use wheat starch, potato starch, etc.?
A: Only Prima
Familia® meatballs contain starch.
